I've played all of the brands you can think of--both old and new--and to me, nothing gets me the tone I really love like these strings do. I played D'Addario for years, then various Savarez sets, and then went through a couple of years of trying out the newer generation of strings that are made with different materials. Some of them were good, some okay, but none of them approach what these strings give me. Warmth, brilliance, smoothness, reliability, and long life.
