It produces a very full and thick sounding distortion. Clean these sound so buttery smooth and nice. I did notice some of the polished metal dust tuned parts of my fingers silver. Not quite as warm as they claim, but I wasn't looking for that. The feel of flatwounds is so, so very nice.
