They aren't as smoothly polished as Chromes but i think the texture helps give them a little more high-end bite. On an electric, they are only a little less bright than normal roundwounds. If you are looking for a good middle ground between flats and rounds, you should try these. They also come in 13's which is my preference but S&B doesn't carry them.
