It naturally has an unparalleled punch, and a big bass response. Sometimes, though, it can go just a little bit more "bassy" than I really want. JP 80/20 lights give me a beautiful balance, a great feel, a bright treble, strong bass, and they last an unbelievably long time. The only other string I have really loved on the D-35 in an Elixir Nano 80/20 light - but at twice the price they are not quite as bright, and do not last much longer. These are great strings!
